  1. About CI SOFTWARE Smear Screen Saver

  3. This shareware screen saver makes your screen appear as if it is wet paint
  4. and smears the contents continuously  in different directions.  A slider
  5. bar lets you control the smearing effect.  Full password protection is
  6. provided.

  9. Installing CI SOFTWARE Smear Screen Saver

  11. Copy the SMEARCI.SCR file to your Windows directory (Most likely
  12. C:\WINDOWS).  From the Program Manager within Windows double click  the
  13. Main folder.  Within the Main folder, double click the Control Panel icon
  14. and then double click the Desktop icon.  Open the list of names within the
  15. Screen Saver section of the Desktop and select Smear.  You can then click
  16. the Setup button to bring up the CI SOFTWARE Smear Screen Saver Setup
  17. screen.  In the Setup screen, the smearing effect can be adjusted with the
  18. slider bar and password protection can be enabled or disabled here by
  19. clicking on the check box.  Have fun by experimenting  with different
  20. settings of the smear effect slider bar.

  24. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before buying
  25. it.  If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you are
  26. expected to register.  Individual programs differ on details - some
  27. request registration while others require it, some specify a maximum trial

  64. no charge to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  65. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of another
  66. system.  The essence of "user- supported" software is to provide personal
  67. computer users with quality software without high prices, and yet to
  68. provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products.  If
  69. you find this program useful and find that you are using CI SOFTWARE Smear
  70. screen saver and continue to use CI SOFTWARE Smear screen saver after a
  71. reasonable trial period, you must make a registration payment of $5.00 to
  72. CI SOFTWARE.  The $5.00 registration fee will license one copy for use on
  73. any one computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  74. a book.  And examples that this software may be used by any number of
  75. people and may be freely moved from one computer location to another, so
  76. long as there is no possibility of it being used at one location while
  77. it's being used at another.  Just as a book cannot be read by two
  78. different persons at the same time.  As a bonus of registration, you will
  79. receive the next upgrade or possibly a future product free of charge.
